I think this was one of our best Christmas's ever. Seriously...it was really, really great. It was calm...just the girls, me, my parents, and my grandmother. I think we all enjoyed both the giving and receiving. Since it was just the six of us, the food was scaled back some so the meal prep was less stressful than normal, which gave us more time to just be. All in all, it was pretty much perfect.
Blueberry's not to Santa asking if our elf, Zooter can stay
Santa's not to Blueberry...Zooter is now a permanent fixture on the mantle
Coming down the hall to check out their stockings (after I scoped out the room first to assure Blueberry that the big man was gone...he still makes her a little nervous)
Happy with her new journal
And her new sunglasses
OMG! It's an ipod touch!
We both got them
Sweet smile
Her new hat from her sister
A new purse
Realizing I'd already gotten her something she'd recently told me she wished she'd asked for
(an Ethiopia flag bead for her charm bracelet)
Her new horse hat from her sister
A new necklace...a stick figure runner
Blueberry's new horse, Starlight
A post-dinner tradition...spoon hanging
Everyone can do it but my mom...at least she can hang a spoon on her chin
Her best present of all...her own guitar
Doesn't every kid play with their new toys inside the gift bags or is it only Blueberry?
