January
- Blueberry really got going in her riding lessons.  She had just a couple of lessons in December before the Christmas break.

February
- Ethiopia trip- planning was in full swing.
- Violet started what would become her last season of soccer.

March
Blueberry had her first horse show at the stable where she rides.
- We spent 2 weeks in Ethiopia and part of that time was with Violet's family...mom, sisters, grandparents, uncles, cousins.  It was amazing, wonderful, fantastic and every other terrific adjective you can think of.
- We found out that Blueberry got into the Spanish immersion grade school.

April
- Violet officially turned 11.
- The girls dyed Easter eggs even though we don't actually celebrate Easter. :-)

May
- I began my last year in my 30s.
- Blueberry had her 2nd riding show.
- We went blueberry picking...twice.
- Blueberry and I passed 5 years together.
- The girls finished their time at their small private school after Blueberry got into the Spanish immersion school I wanted her to go to and Violet decided she wanted a bigger school.

June
- We spent a week in Guatemala with my parents.  Blueberry's mom and sisters came and spent some time with us too.  It was amazing, wonderful, fantastic and every other terrific adjective you can think of.
- We lost our sweet pup, Cody, in a tragic accident.  Many tears were shed.

July
- Violet and I passed 4 years together and a few days later, we passed 4 years as a family of 3 all together.
- Blueberry lost her first two teeth.
- We sweated to death.

August
- The girls both started their new public schools.
- The girls went miniature golfing for the first time.  It was...interesting...and amusing.

September
- Blueberry turned 6.  Six is awesome!
- Violet started cross country.  It's perfect for her.
- I recommitted to completing my 6 month emergency fund by the time I turn 40.

October
-Violet turned 12.  Twelve is pretty cool too.
- For the first time ever, Blueberry happily dressed in a Halloween costume.

November
- Blueberry developed her 2nd case of pneumonia, almost exactly 2 years after the 1st case.
- Blueberry ran in her 1st real cross country race.
- The girls and I voted in the presidential election.  Good times!!!
- Blueberry got to ride a horse in a Western saddle.  She didn't quite know what to think and was very happy to come back to her lessons in her normal English saddle.
- I successfully completed NaBloPoMo.

December
- Blueberry willingly and happily sat on Santa's lap three times with a huge smile on her face each time.  WOW!!!
- Violet finished her first 5K with a smile on her face.

This is a really great idea. I may try to see what I can remember! This year I really want to blog more so that I know what happens each month. I have to admit my first year of motherhood with two, it has felt like the months blur! Normal? lol
