Wednesday

Good things today...

- A girl scout troop is starting at the girls school and registration was today.  They are super excited.  Blueberry will be a daisy and Violet will be a Junior.  The first meeting is next week and the girls can't wait.

- We went to see my Gran after school at her new assisted living place.  She was in a really good mood and had had a good day...yummy lunch and candy bingo.  She kept talking about how nice her new apartment is.  :-)  I loved that when one of the aides in the dining room asked who I was looking for and I told her, she told me Gran wasn't down yet.  After just 2 days, she already knew Granny by name.

- The girls school pictures turned out really well.

- I switched back to the big dog bowls.  (I had switched to smaller ones after we lost Simon but they little ones just don't work with 3 dogs.)

Sweet Molly is settling in...
Why even bother standing up to eat?
(And please ignore my dirty floor.
Dogs make a mess when they spill their water.)

What a great thing you are doing by taking in your gran's dog for her. Volunteering in cat rescue, I can tell you that not a day goes by that we don't get a call that someone or their mother or their grandmother or father or sister, or neighbor is going to a nursing home/is terminally ill/recently passed and they need a home for their cat(s). It's such a struggle, especially when we're already inundated with strays/drop offs. I encourage all to have a plan for their pets so they can have peace of mind should that day come. Gran's dog is very lucky indeed.
